Job Title: Electrical Engineering Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team and resolve lab and control panel issues using advanced diagnostic tools. This role involves performing tool validation studies, providing initial root cause analysis, and assembling experimental bench-top solutions with minimal input from engineers. You will also wire production electrical control panels based on schematics and create electrical wiring configuration layouts to meet component spacing requirements.

Responsibilities

+ Diagnose and resolve lab and control panel issues using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.

+ Perform tool validation studies and provide initial root cause analysis.

+ Assemble and wire experimental bench-top solutions based on minimal engineer input.

+ Wire production electrical control panels based on wiring schematics.

+ Create electrical wiring configuration layouts to meet electrical component spacing requirements.

+ Redline schematics, BOMs, and drawings for any updates and implement modifications to manufacturing test equipment.

+ Communicate effectively with engineers and troubleshoot complex issues.

+ Work in a custom design team to address electrical or mechanical tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Associate Degree in a technical field (Electrical, Electronic, Automation) or High School Diploma with equivalent years of experience.

+ Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, sensors, and circuitry.

+ Fundamental mechanical abilities and hands-on experience.

+ Strong organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.

+ Ability to solder and wire components.

+ Understanding of mechatronics incorporating hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience working with test fixtures and motors.

+ Ability to work effectively in a small, dynamic team environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a brand new, state-of-the-art test lab with a small team. The role involves exciting prototype work, providing an opportunity to be hands-on and innovative in a cutting-edge setting.

Job Type & Location

This is position is based out of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/hr.
