Job Title: Phlebotomist III - Atlanta (Immediate Hiring)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist III to join our team at Atlantic Station. The role involves performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, as well as collecting specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and more. The successful candidate will handle data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner, prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis, and maintain logs of patient and specimen information. Providing superior customer service and performing administrative and clerical duties as necessary are also essential aspects of this role.

Responsibilities

+ Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.

+ Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.

+ Accurately enter patient information into the system in a timely manner.

+ Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.

+ Maintain logs of patient and specimen information.

+ Provide superior customer service to all patients.

+ Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.

Essential Skills

+ 4-5+ years of recent experience as a phlebotomist i a clinical setting.

+ Experience with specimen handling, pap smear, GC, and other tests.

+ Proficiency in straight needle venipuncture and hard sticks.

+ Strong data entry and sample processing skills.

+ Excellent customer service skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Detail-oriented with strong computer skills.

+ Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

+ Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

+ Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

+ Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment

The position is located in Atlanta, GA, this is an IOP setting. The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm and Friday from 9 am to 2 pm, totaling 37 hours per week, with potential for conversion. The role involves sharing space with a Medical Assistant and handling 20-30 draws per day in an OBGYN IOP setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
