Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong experience in industrial electrical systems, particularly with experience in PLC troubleshooting, VFDs, drivers, and panel signals. The ideal candidate will have extensive manufacturing experience and possess strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all production and auxiliary equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all production and auxiliary equipment.

+ Analyze and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems to perform necessary repairs.

+ Dismantle machines and equipment for inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance.

+ Perform minor machining, welding, and plumbing as needed.

+ Follow all safety procedures and proactively ensure equipment conforms to safety regulations.

+ Communicate daily issues and relevant information to supervisors and other employees.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance role, with 5+ years preferred for Tech A level.

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues in production machinery.

+ Experience with industrial electric systems, including motors, motor controls, electrical panels, and schematics.

+ Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, specifically.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Allen Bradley and Fanuc systems is a plus.

+ No formal degree or certifications required.

Work Environment

The maintenance team operates in two adjoining warehouse and manufacturing spaces. The environment can be very hot, reaching up to 110 degrees, especially during the summer months. Mechanics are encouraged to be decisive and proactive in problem-solving. The standard attire includes long pants and a work shirt. The position involves 12-hour night shifts from Monday to Thursday (5:30 AM to 5:30 PM and vice versa).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
