    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our equipment maintenance team, focusing on servicing and repairing diesel-powered construction equipment, trucks, and support vehicles. This full-time role is based in Staten Island, NY. Candidates with extensive automotive mechanic experience are encouraged to apply, especially those looking to transition into heavy equipment and diesel systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel engines and hydraulic systems.

    + Service skid steers, compressors, generators, trailers, and other rental fleet equipment.

    + Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety and emissions standards.

    + Troubleshoot electrical systems, brakes, steering, and suspension components.

    + Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair status to supervisors.

    + Assist with field service calls and emergency repairs when needed.

    Essential Skills

    + 3–5 years of experience as a diesel or automotive mechanic.

    + Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

    + Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.

    + Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).

    + Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in shop and outdoor environments.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
