Job Title: Carpenter
Job Description
This role combines the skills of a woodworker craftsman and a carpenter. It offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse and ever-changing products for special events, concerts, sporting events, and promotional products.
Responsibilities
+ Study and understand specification drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
+ Experience in all phases of millwork and cabinet assembly, including building crates to large pallets as needed.
+ Work with various raw materials such as woods, laminates, and solid surfaces.
+ Operate table saws, jointers, standalone planers, and band saws/re-saws.
+ Preferred knowledge in the operation of shapers, routers, wide belt sanders, and basic hand-held power tools.
+ Collaborate with the Estimating Department to determine materials and labor requirements for project estimates.
+ Maintain inventory of raw materials and consumables.
+ Perform quality control to ensure required expectations are met.
+ Conduct regular cleaning and preventive maintenance scheduling on all tools and equipment.
Essential Skills
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ 1-3 years of experience in woodworking and/or carpentry.
+ Basic math skills.
+ Ability to read, understand, and interpret production work orders and blueprints.
+ Proficiency in reading and using a tape measure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior work experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
+ Basic understanding of Adobe and AutoCAD is advantageous.
+ Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and bending.
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
+ Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Work Environment
The standard schedule is from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with the possibility of working before and after the shift. Some weekends may be required. The work atmosphere is a semi-climate controlled shop, with some tasks potentially performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. Occasional travel may be required, both in-state and out-of-state.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
