Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations within our manufacturing facility. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with an emphasis on troubleshooting and repairs.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation.
+ Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
+ Assemble, install, and repair electrical components, hydraulic systems, plumbing, hoses, and other mechanical or control systems.
+ Complete preventative maintenance reviews for all equipment and document regular maintenance reports.
+ Conduct welding projects using stick, MIG, or TIG welding processes to fabricate new equipment and repair existing equipment.
+ Assist in completing equipment build and refurbishment projects as outlined by company management.
+ Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers to support maintenance needs and project work.
+ Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
+ Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures as needed.
+ Provide groundskeeping services and snow removal as needed.
+ Occasionally travel to other branches in TX, TN, SC, or NC for equipment servicing, approximately once every 3-4 months.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
+ Experience in mechanical and electrical systems
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
+ Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance
+ Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
+ Experience with welding (stick, MIG, TIG)
+ Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in maintenance repair and mechanical maintenance
+ Understanding of 3-phase electrical systems

Work Environment
Work on the 1st Shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM in a manufacturing facility that specializes in producing industrial belting. This role requires a hands-on approach in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Des Moines, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
