    Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

    Job Description

    We are seeking a proactive software engineer with a passion for creating automated Python tests. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in testing criteria, the CI/CD pipeline, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Create automated tests, frameworks, and tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.

    + Contribute to the design of test plans, test cases, and overall test strategies for complex hardware and software systems.

    + Develop test campaigns and performance metrics to ensure software and systems meet requirements and scale effectively.

    + Analyze test results, identify software defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.

    + Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing and product quality.

    + Apply experience with integrated systems, especially those involving both hardware and software, such as satellites or other complex engineered systems.

    + Utilize strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse engineering teams and stakeholders.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-5 years’ experience testing and verifying embedded software.

    + Strong expertise in Python relevant to testing automation and infrastructure.

    + Proficiency with CI/CD tools.

    + Proven experience with test plan creation, mocking, and test-to-requirement strategies.

    + Hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks and tools.

    + Familiarity with coding standards, source control, build processes, and operations.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

    + Must be a U.S. Citizen .

    + Ability to design and maintain physical and soft infrastructure, including networking security, systems, deployments, automation, etc.

    + Experience with Atlassian tools: Confluence, JIRA, etc.

    + A hardware testing mindset is desirable.

    + Experience with hardware test bench development.

    + Familiarity with agile methodologies, software product and release life cycles, and integrating open-source software.

    Work Environment

    This position requires onsite work in Redmond, WA or Northridge, CA. The role involves collaboration with teams using the latest technologies and development practices.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $85.00/hr.
