**Location:** PALO ALTO, CA
**Schedule:** 4X10 HR DAY SHIFT with rotating weekends
**Department:** Central Nursing Staffing Office
Payrate Range: $35 to $37.50 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a **Staffing Coordinator** , you’ll play a vital role behind the scenes—ensuring the right clinical staff are in the right place at the right time. You’ll work directly with nurse managers and leadership teams, providing key administrative support, managing complex staffing schedules, processing payroll, maintaining compliance records, and jumping in to solve scheduling challenges on the fly.
This is more than just a desk job—your work will directly impact **patient care, nursing efficiency** , and overall hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate daily staffing for inpatient units, balancing census and acuity levels.
+ Create and manage computerized nurse schedules, adjusting to changing needs.
+ Assist with payroll processing, timesheet audits, and pay adjustments.
+ Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure all licenses, credentials, and certifications are up-to-date.
+ Collaborate with Nurse Managers to implement flexible staffing solutions.
+ Support disaster/emergency staffing plans and rapid-response staffing needs.
+ Provide comprehensive administrative support to nursing leadership, including calendar management, document prep, and internal communications.
+ Generate actionable reports on productivity, staffing trends, and more.
What You Bring:
+ **Education:** High school diploma or GED equivalent
+ **Experience:** Minimum of **3 years of progressively responsible** administrative or staffing-related experience
+ **Skills:**
+ Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
+ Strong communication (written & verbal)
+ High attention to detail and confidentiality
+ Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office and database systems (scheduling/payroll software experience a plus!)
+ Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare operations is highly desirable

**Pay Details:** $35.00 to $37.50 per hour
