    About the Role

     

    We’re seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our Milwaukee-based construction team. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the successful execution of commercial construction projects, working closely with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and clients. From pre-construction through closeout, you’ll help drive project performance, ensure quality standards, and maintain clear communication across all stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Support project managers with document control, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and drawing logs.

    + Assist with estimating, bid analysis, and procurement of materials and subcontractor services.

    + Monitor and update project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking tools.

    + Coordinate jobsite logistics, including material deliveries, equipment needs, and subcontractor activities.

    + Prepare and maintain daily field reports, meeting minutes, and progress documentation.

    + Participate in jobsite meetings, walkthroughs, and inspections to ensure alignment with project goals.

    + Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and contract requirements.

    + Collaborate with field teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

    + 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction or a similar industry.

    + Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.

    + Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software.

    + Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite(Excel, Project, Word).

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with professionalism and accuracy.

    + A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with ground-up construction, interior build-outs, or renovation projects.

    + Familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

    + OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.

    + Knowledge of LEED, sustainable building practices, or design-build delivery methods.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $42.00/hr.
