    Job Title: Simultaneous Engineering (SE) Engineer

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as a Simultaneous Engineering (SE) Engineer, focusing on Paint PE Simultaneous Engineering. You will be pivotal in planning and developing new model introductions, ensuring safety, quality, cost efficiency, and productivity. Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to align on project goals and specifications.

    Responsibilities

    + Identify new vehicle change points and study their impact on current processes and production.

    + Ensure new models meet safety, quality, cost, and productivity standards in paint processes.

    + Collaborate with designers and production stakeholders to unify project objectives.

    + Utilize digital engineering, CAE, 3D modeling, and rapid prototyping to simulate processes during design phase development.

    + Communicate with stakeholders, including pilots and other groups, to align on process requirements.

    + Share and learn paint standards and requirements with SE team members and counterparts in Japan.

    + Support the Paint SE group in developing and updating paint SE standard check sheets and benchmarks.

    + Plan and maintain overall project schedules and develop planning standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field.

    + Proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD and Catia.

    + Experience in project schedule planning and project management.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

    + Experience with CAD software, engineering design, and mechanical drafting.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with FEA, layout design, engineering, Creo, and 3D printers.

    + Pre-production experience in design, mechanical engineering, and CAD.

    Work Environment

    This role is based at PEMC, with the possibility of overtime including weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods in July and December. The position requires travel up to 30% internationally to locations such as Canada, Mexico, and Japan. The work environment is flexible, offering a balance between work and life, with opportunities for long-term contracts and potential full-time positions. Employees receive 10 PTO days, 9 paid holidays per year, and compensation for hours worked over 40 at time and a half. The company supports travel arrangements for contractors.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
