Job Title: R&D EngineerJob Description
This hybrid role supports the Core Airways product line, focusing on the development and enhancement of airway and tracheostomy tubes. The position involves conducting V&V testing, updating design documentation, and contributing to sustaining engineering activities. The engineer will engage in complaint investigations, root cause analysis, and implement design changes to improve product quality.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct and coordinate V&V testing, updating protocols to ensure traceability to product requirements.
+ Support CAPA resolution, handle complaint investigations, and prepare regulatory documentation.
+ Design test fixtures and support design changes using SolidWorks.
+ Participate in sustaining engineering activities and manage MoC programs.
+ Contribute to the implementation of electronic instructions for use (eIFU).
+ Engage in project management and cross-functional collaboration to achieve project goals.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with design verification and testing.
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks for CAD design.
+ Strong communication and documentation skills.
+ Knowledge of regulatory compliance and good documentation practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering.
+ 0–2 years of experience in a technical support or product development role.
+ Experience in a medical device or clinical environment.
+ Familiarity with MS Teams and project management skills.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Lafayette, CO, requiring a minimum of 3 days on-site, with increased on-site presence during testing phases (4–5 days). The environment is collaborative and FDA-regulated, offering access to lab facilities and cross-functional teams. This role provides a balance between on-site lab work and remote flexibility, fostering a culture of innovation and mentorship.

This is a Contract position based out of Lafayette, US-CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
