Position Summary
Candidate will join the Corp Pension development team to support and maintain mission-critical applications related to pension plan administration. This role is primarily focused on maintaining legacy systems written in COBOL and CICS, with exposure to Java frontend components. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating complex, undocumented codebases and learning the business logic embedded in decades-old applications. Will support application development, implementation, enhancement, and testing of programming. Ensure system integrity by providing timely, accurate production call-list support. We are looking for a self-motivated team player who enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
This is a highly regulated environment, and the work involves implementing regulatory changes (e.g., ERISA/State updates ) and ensuring system
stability. The team is transitioning knowledge from long-tenured staff, so a strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn are essential.
Required Qualifications
+ 0-2 years work experience
+ 5+ years of experience in mainframe development
+ Strong proficiency in COBOL and CICS
+ Exposure to JAVA and Code Asset Management tools
+ Experience working with Mainframe DB2 and writing SQL queries
+ Ability to read and interpret legacy code with minimal documentation
+ Ability to work in a highly regulated environment
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
+ Understanding of the Pension / Actuarial business and terminology
+ Strong understanding of Microsoft Office tools
Education
+ Computer Science or Management Information Systems degrees are preferred

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$79,310.00 - $158,620.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
