Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $91,000.00 - $107,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to implement and support all aspects of the data network, from physical devices to virtual. This includes cable installation, basic router/switch management to high level routing protocols like BGP.
Essential Functions
+ Perform end user support by identifying and diagnosing problems with routing protocols
+ Use complex configuration methods on routers/switches to implement advanced functions, such as route filters, Access Control List (ACLs) and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) route manipulation
+ Manage Domain Name System (DNS) and the various record types and ensure proper resolution of any issues
+ Design network solutions for new or existing solutions
+ Work directly with vendor to prove designs and obtain price quotes and schedule/troubleshoot as needed
+ Mentor and train team members
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
+ Strong understanding of Ethernet switching, IP routing and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) ports
+ Strong understanding of physical connectivity, such as cabling (fiber, copper)
+ Strong understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
+ Strong knowledge of Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) protocols and bridge tables
+ Strong understanding of designing and implementing Data Center networks, including EVPN/VxLAN, Load Balancing, DNS, etc
+ Ability to define import/export policies within and between protocols
+ Ability to mentor and train team members
+ Ability to manage Domain Name System (DNS) with multiple record types and represent the position of the network group on project discussions
+ Ability to work with the manager to help plan for budgetary items and maintenance renewals
+ Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
+ Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
+ Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
+ Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Education & Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience required
+ 5+ years network engineering or equivalent experience required
+ Experience with routers and switches (logging in, installing, high level configurations) required
+ 5+ years e router/switch configuration, Load Balancer and/or DNS experience preferred
+ Experience with scripting/programming languages preferred

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $91,000 to $107,000 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
