The Opportunity:

This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all production equipment and production control systems in the plant, through maintenance department employees.

How will you impact WestRock:

* Develops predictive and preventative maintenance systems to proactively prevent process failures. Implements, oversees, and documents the preventive and corrective maintenance processes of industrial equipment and building systems.

* Manages capital projects by participating in equipment materials selection and layout to optimize maintainability, promoting consistency by standardizing equipment, providing technical expertise for installation, maintenance procedures and start-up of all new critical equipment.

* Responsible for accuracy of work order system and reporting.

* Maintains equipment hierarchy and accuracy in JDE.

* Drive the implementation of reliability engineering practices and programs in the plant.

* Design and implement maintenance procedures and maintenance management systems (i.e., CMMS) to ensure compliance with fundamental maintenance standards and practices.

* Develop and implement programs to assure continuous reliability of production equipment and processes.

* Actively identify, monitor, and drive continuous improvement activities utilizing lean six sigma techniques.

* Lead troubleshooting of equipment problems and apply Root Cause Analysis practices to equipment failure investigations and provide training and lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) as required.

* Maintains a strong emphasis on work management and reliability best practices - customer focused innovations, cost saving improvements, process optimization, etc.

* Hold employees accountable for working within the rules and proactively identifying and removing hazards.

* Help develop safety rules, procedures, and proactive measures to ensure a safe working environment and ensure safety procedures are being followed.

* Ensures compliance with all applicable OSHA and plant safety standards.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Knowledge of data analysis and statistical methods.

Education:

* Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or equivalent OR Minimum 5 years of related Maintenance Supervisory experience preferred.

* Experience in a manufacturing facility within the paper industry preferred.

* 2 years of experience in implementing reliability centered maintenance principles preferred.

* Thorough knowledge of TPM, preventive and predictive maintenance programs and standards preferred.

* Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
