As a Project Change Engineer you will focus on managing and implementing changes within the program lifecycle, ensuring changes are properly documented, evaluated, and implemented with minimal impact on program goals, timelines, and budget. Oversee "cradle to grave" development, release and implementation of changes to the Program and technical baseline with a focus on ensuring changes are well understood, documented, and executed through the Program approved Change Boards. Use your understanding of model-based systems engineering to support processes and life-cycle phases. Work on a teaming environment with Configuration and Data management to accomplish responsibilities and release engineering tasks, to ensure software products are documented, released, and sustainable. Collaborate closely with Change Request owners in the use of CM tools and implementation of software quality standards. Process and manage change requests, ensuring they are documented and follow established procedures. Responsible for keeping stakeholders informed about change requests and ensure they are aligned with program objectives. This position will be in Huntsville, Alabama and support the Sentinel Program.
Basic Qualifications:
• 2 Years experience in software engineering with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 0 Years with Masters or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• U.S. Citizenship with an Active Secret Security Clearance obtained/reviewed within the last 6 years and the ability to obtain Special Program Access.
• Experienced with MS Office and Teams
• Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes.
• Understanding of model-based systems engineering to support processes and life-cycle phases.
• Knowledgeable of Configuration and Data Management process and procedure.
• Presentation experience with the ability to present to Project and Program Management, other technical managers, and customers.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and change management methodologies.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• SAP/SAR preferred on day 1
• Direct experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database
• Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts (i.e., CAMEO)
• Subcontractor technical oversight experience
• 1 year of project management experience
Primary Level Salary Range: $77,600.00 - $116,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
