About this Job

Six months of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Cleans bathrooms, offices, hallways, and any other assigned areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing. Empties and decontaminates trash containers. Moves, rearranges, and dusts furniture and fixtures.
+ Mixes or blends cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary for various tasks. Strips, cleans, and polishes floors using industrial-grade machines. Follows procedures for disposing of infectious waste.
+ Maintains custodial equipment; reports needs for minor building and/or equipment repairs to a higher-level custodian. Sets up tables, chairs, and other furniture for special meetings, banquets, or other occasions as assigned.
+ Washes blinds, windows, and walls with prescribed solutions. Operates wet/dry vacuum for cleaning and shampooing carpeted areas. Strips, decontaminates, and makes beds for patients, residents, students, etc.
+ May perform grounds work by picking up trash, watering plants, light mowing, weed trimming, etc.

Compensation: The beginning salary is $10.70/hourly
