Job Description:
Supervise the daily operations of custodial staff servicing the Facilities of a University Campus ranging in size between 200,000 to 300,000 square feet.
Job Duties:
Schedules, assigns, and supervises work performed by custodial crew. Performs inspection of work to ensure completion and quality of work done by the crew.- 40%
Prepares and provides orientation and training for new employees. Supervises crew during major operations such as pressure washing buildings, walks, windows and other exterior building surfaces. Supervises the preparation, and application, (spraying, fogging) of unrestricted areas.-15%
Inspects and reports needed building and equipment repairs to Customer Service Center. Performs any other necessary task commensurate with the position of Supervisor A. Other duties as assigned. -15%
Responsible for the safekeeping keys for the locking/unlocking of campus buildings and classrooms for academic activities.-10%
Prepares and maintain all documentation regarding time, leave, personnel evaluation, counseling, disciplinary action, accident/incident reports, supply requisition and training for their assigned custodial crew. -10%
Supervises the preparation and disassembly by crews of assigned areas and equipment for upcoming Special Events.-5%
Supervises the cleaning and arrangement of furniture, fixtures, and decor by custodial crews.-5%
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping or food service work.
Special or Physical Qualifications:
+ In accordance with PS-18 this position maybe required to report or stay on campus in the event of emergency or closure.
+ This position requires the ability to lift at least 20 pounds, walk, stand, bend, ascend and descend stairs throughout the day and move furniture and or equipment of at least 20 pounds.
+ Due to the position's physical requirements, a pre-employment physical examination will be required per FASOP: HR-04.
