Job Summary
Manage daily activity of the Property Loss Control staff. Provide professional consultative services and technical leadership to TMA staff and clients to deliver high quality products and services to all customers.
Essential Job Functions
+ Manage and direct the daily activities of the Property Loss Control staff, ensuring that quality Loss Control service is provided to Tokio Marine’s insureds and Tokio Marine’s underwriters.
+ Provides technical leadership and guidance for the Property group including: Technical standards review and revision; Program development, execution, and technical management; Problem resolution; Account stewardship Broker/ Agent client relationship.
+ Coordinates and negotiates services for key customers with multiple locations or difficult engineering exposures.
+ Makes presentations to customers as required to communicate service reviews, standards, technical issues, etc.
+ Consults with Underwriting, Coordination, other departments and vendors regarding significant engineering exposures, recommendations, and account service strategy.
+ Assists the SVP Loss Control and National Casualty Manager by suggesting and driving internal efficiency and process improvements for the Loss Control group.
+ Performs select on-site evaluations to: Assess large and critical property exposures.
+ Assess root cause analysis in large loss situations.
+ Provide training and development for Property Loss Control staff.
+ Manage the budget associated with Property Loss Control activities.
+ Monitor property loss control activity to ensure proficiency in loss control efforts, as well as timely and effective response to client, producer, Coordination and Underwriting Department requests for information and assistance.
+ Create and maintain technical resources required to support the field staff and clients.
+ Participate in company committees and special projects designed to aid in improving company results improving quality of service to insureds and producers and meeting government reporting requirements.
+ Monitor Property staff activity to assure adherence to effective personnel and personnel-related policies and practices.
Qualifications
+ College degree preferred
+ Minimum of ten years of technical loss control experience
+ Minimum of five years of supervisory or managerial experience preferred
+ Strong written and oral communication skills
+ Capable of overnight/extended travel.
Salary range $175,000 to $200,000. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base.
