    We are looking to hire aManager, Materials & Inventory - River LINE!

    Summary:

    + Responsible but not limited to managing River Line's Storeroom and ensuring proper levels of inventory for all materials, inventory and equipment. Works closely with Light Rail’s Budget Representative.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    + Responsible for the planning, purchasing and maintenance of all equipment, parts, and supplies in support of all revenue and non-revenue railway Operations & Maintenance administrative functions.

    + . Maintains overall responsibility for min/max inventory planning and control, storekeeping, storeroom security, material handling and distribution, shipping and receiving. Establishes parameters/develops proper inventory levels and reorder points. Manages the regular and systematic counting and verification of cyclical inventories and the security and safekeeping of inventory records. Issues MDR requests for all obsolete and non-repairable parts and materials.

    + Generates and supervises all Electronic Requisitions for all materials, equipment, capital projects, and outside vendor services. Contacts outside vendors for RFQ so purchase orders are in place to cover all yearly services required.

    + Implements and controls all documentation on all warranty items; communicates with outside warranty vendors on an as needed/daily basis.

    + Implements strategies, procedures and processes for the core repair, exchange, replacement, and material disposition. Monitors the core tracking and communicates with vendors on repair status. Requests purchases orders and Repair Material Authorization numbers from Procurement and vendors to ensure the timelines and availability of rebuilt parts.

    + Responsible for identifying/monitoring disposal of all scrap materials, hazardous materials/chemicals, and maintains documentation file for the same for auditing purposes.

    + Manages/schedules stock room Clerks (agreement) in concert with the labor agreement; performs backfill and/or other interdisciplinary supervisory duties as needed, in association with supporting a 24/7 railway operation.

    + Liaisons with MOE, Training, Facilities, and MOW departments establishing and maintaining replacement parts and new material for stock inclusions.

    Education, Experience and Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related area, or equivalent

    + and five (5) years of applied experience in the procurement process of materials/services, working with vendors in support of maintenance/operating activities, inventory control, administration of warranty programs, shipping and receiving

    Knowledge and Skills:

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

    + Experience maintaining revenue/non-revenue fleet/equipment and applied supervisory experience.

    + Experience with Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    + Preferred experience with Oracle, VMIS

    This Position Supervises:

    + Stock Clerks (Agreement Staff)
