Neurosurgery/Ambulatory Care Nursing Coordinator | November Start – Palo Alto

Start Date: November 2025 | Contract through January 2, 2026

We’re seeking an experienced Nursing Coordinator for a travel assignment at a leading hospital in Palo Alto, California. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse with a strong background in neurosurgery or ambulatory care coordination, looking to make an impact in a high-acuity setting.

Position Highlights

+ Location: Palo Alto, CA

+ Setting: Hospital – Neurosurgery/Ambulatory Care

+ Start Window: November 2025

+ Contract Length: Through January 2, 2026, with potential for extension

+ Schedule: 5x8s (40 hours/week)

+ Shift: Days

Required Qualifications

+ Must be a traveler (permanent address 50+ miles from the facility)

+ CA RN License

+ BSN or MSN degree

+ 5+ years of experience in either:

+ Inpatient or ambulatory neurosurgery (not OR-based nursing)

+ Ambulatory Care Coordinator role

+ 3+ years accepted at a lower rate

+ Certifications:

+ BLS (American Heart Association)

+ Experience:

+ EPIC EMR proficiency

+ Previous travel RN experience

Additional Compliance Requirements

+ TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

+ Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site

+ Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements

+ Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and clients; proficiency in English required

+ Computer proficiency required

What You’ll Do:

Coordinate nursing care for neurosurgery patients in an inpatient or ambulatory setting, support care transitions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.
