Position Overview

The Material Selector (Inventory & Shipping Clerk) is responsible for accurately receiving, coding, classifying, storing, and shipping materials and finished products. This role also includes maintaining clean workspaces, preparing reports, and occasionally performing local deliveries (within a 60-mile radius).

All activities must align with Forkardt Hardinge's core values, code of conduct, and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and sign for incoming materials; enter data into the inventory system.

Accurately code, classify, and store materials in appropriate locations.

Receive finished goods from internal departments, inventory, ship, or deliver regionally.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace and follow safety protocols.

Collect and maintain data for daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and shipping reports.

Skills & Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

3-5 years of related inventory, shipping, or materials handling experience preferred.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks.

Experience with data entry or inventory management systems is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to talk, hear and otherwise communicate with employees, management and others. This position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stoop, and reach. Employees may be expected to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $19.00-$22.00/hour
