    JOB DETAILS:

    + Location: Austin, TX

    + Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term

    + Duration:

    + Spring/Summer Co-op: January 26, 2026 - August 7, 2026

    + Summer/Fall Co-op: May 18, 2026 or June 22, 2026 - December 11, 2026

    + Spring: January 26, 2026 - May 1, 2026

    + Summer: May 18, 2026 - August 7, 2026 or June 22, 2026 - September 11, 2026

    + Fall: September 14, 2026 - December 11, 2026

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

    We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Writing intern to join our team. This role will require working with people from different organizations across AMD to plan, create, and review engineering level content. In this role -

     

    + We will assign you content to reorganize and rewrite according to UI and quality standards.

    + We will encourage you to actively participate in developer team file management discussions and testing.

    + We will train you to identify and reuse existing document content as help topics and to write and edit engineering-level documents for computer hardware and software.

    + We will provide opportunities to develop your communication, writing, and project management skills.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

    + You are currently enrolled in a United States based University in a Bachelor's program majoring in Technical Writing, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or related fields

    + If you have knowledge / experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply -

    + FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Visio, Jira, and Confluence

    + CCMS, DITA, DITA XML, Reuse

    + x86 processor architecture knowledge, information architecture experience, or knowledge of motherboards

    + Microsoft Word styles, document-level paragraph styles, or CSS style sheets

    + Writing, editing, and project management skills

    + Maintaining consistent organization of multiple documents with multiple drafts and reviewers
