    Job Description

    A leading facilities services company is seeking an experienced Azure Automation Architect to design, implement, and maintain automated deployment pipelines for Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. This role leverages Azure DevOps, Terraform, and PowerShell to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management, ensuring consistency, scalability, and security across environments. The architect will lead daily stand-ups, provide guidance and mentorship, and proactively manage day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include monitoring roadmap progress, determining deployment readiness, resolving issues, and coordinating with multiple teams to ensure alignment with fiscal year goals. The role requires strong collaboration with global teams to maintain visibility on global initiatives and the ability to guide technical decisions, including coding practices. This position involves close interaction with core teams such as Automation Architects, Automation Engineers, DevOps Delivery Teams, Global Competency Centers, and Security & Infrastructure. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and skilled in both leadership and technical execution.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • 40% – Design and develop scripts and templates to automate infrastructure creation, management, and updates using ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, and PowerShell. Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps. Validate and test IaC deployments for consistency and reliability.

    • 40% - Implement and enforce security best practices, configure virtual networks, optimize resource utilization, and monitor performance. Stay current with Azure technologies and recommend improvements.

    • 20% - Propose process improvements, participate in cross-functional meetings, and create technical documentation for automation processes.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    5-7+ years of experience as an Azure Architect

     

    3-5 years as a lead or technical lead

     

    4+ years of experience in infrastructure automation and cloud technologies.

     

    Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bicep, ARM templates, and Azure CLI.

     

    Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services and architecture.

     

    Experience with Terraform and other IaC tools (e.g., Ansible).

     

    Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Azure DevOps.

     

    Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

     

    Proficient in English (verbal and written) Experience with Agile methodology, especially Scrum (epics, user stories, features, MVP).

     

    Minimum 2 years of experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer.

     

    Programming knowledge in C#, .NET framework, Perl, and/or Python.
