    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Facilities Engineer/Mechanical Engineer to support an automotive client in the Maryville, TN area. This person will be joining a facilities maintenance organization and will be responsible for oversight to a number of mechanical projects in support of the growth, renovation and expansion of the campus. These projects will support equipment such as HVAC systems, cooling water, compressed air, chilled water, etc. This role will entail:

     

    • Review mechanical systems for construction projects and provide updates or direction for HVAC, compressed air, and cooling/chilled water systems

    • Provide direction on mechanical issues with existing equipment and support Facilities Maintenance in related activities

    • Maintain and update existing mechanical specifications

    • Oversee safety on active projects

    • Provide communication and updates on active and pending projects

    • Maintain construction project budgets, schedules, time keeping, progress reports, punch list creation, etc.

     

    This role is going to require a high level of multi-tasking and this person will be navigating a large workload of up to 20+ active jobs/projects ranging from small & quick turn around to large long-term projects.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering; other engineer degrees acceptable IF they HVAC experience is strong

    • 3-5 years of experience with mechanical engineering

    • HVAC experience; sizing units, installing & replacing units, etc

    • Project management experience – oversight to budgets, timelines, scheduling, personnel & vendor management  PE in Mechanical Engineering

    • Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering
