Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design, assembly, and testing of autonomous vehicles and auxiliary equipment. This role involves working within a diverse portfolio of autonomous maritime products used in defense, marine research, and commercial applications.
Responsibilities
+ Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
+ Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
+ Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of electrical system requirements into optimized methods for assembly, testing, and maintenance.
+ Develop and maintain accurate documentation.
+ Perform quality inspection using tools such as calipers and micrometers.
+ Conduct visual inspections and manage non-conforming products.
+ Participate in quality control and review blueprints.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in electrical engineering and design.
+ Familiarity with research and development, quality inspection, and blueprint analysis.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
+ A minimum of 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, 7 years with a Master's degree, or 4 years with a PhD.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in multi-disciplinary product development teams.
+ Expertise in architecting platform electrical and power systems.
+ Experience in designing, simulating, prototyping, testing, and maintaining production-mature circuit card assemblies.
+ Experience supporting the development of automated test fixtures.
+ Familiarity with systems that include hardware and software components for DoD, academic, or commercial use.
Work Environment
The work environment supports the design, autonomy, manufacturing, testing, operations, and sustainment of unmanned systems, including underwater and surface vessels.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
