The opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring a part-time Restaurant host to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. In this fast paced and exciting environment, no two days will be the same. As a Host, you will provide guest service; meet and greet all guests that enter the Vineyard Buffet. Provide exceptional guest service.

Pay

$16.68 - $16.68 / hour

What will you do?

+ Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner

+ Assist with needs of Guests upon arrival

+ Seat guests utilize the seating chart unless a guest has a special request

+ Assist server clearing tables, rolling silverware

+ Maintain a safe work and Guest environment

+ Demonstrates skill in dealing with customer complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain guest goodwill

+ Other duties as assigned

More about you

+ High school diploma/GED/TASC preferred

+ Prior experience in guest service environment preferred

+ Excellent guest service skills

+ Attentive and detailed oriented

+ Ability to maintain a high energy level in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Physical requirements

+ Ability to remain on feet for entire length of shift

+ Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners

+ Frequent walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching

+ Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs

+ Visual acuity and hearing are sufficient to read seating chart and communicate with guest
