As a **Security Officer - Transportation Patrol - Full Time** in **San Jose, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout transportation locations. Your visible presence will contribute to a secure environment, while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

+ Assist with crowd control and/or access control as needed to support the orderly flow of people and vehicles within the transportation environment.

+ Availability across various days and shifts

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

+ Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.

+ Current CPR certification is preferred.

+ Ability to work at sites with limited on-site facilities, such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks, is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
