Job Title: 2nd shift Furnace Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Furnace Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance and repair services for Hot Work production furnaces and Heat Treat furnaces. The role requires expertise in maintaining the thermal characteristics and operational efficiency of furnaces.
Responsibilities
+ Understand and apply combustion theory during furnace troubleshooting and repair.
+ Prepare survey racks and stands for Temperature Uniformity Surveys, including cutting and welding thermocouple wire.
+ Perform Temperature Uniformity Surveys using a Portable Survey Datalogger Field Test Instrument.
+ Upload survey results to the network system for review and acceptance by Quality personnel.
+ Calibrate furnace control instruments such as temperature chart recorders and controllers.
+ Create calibration certifications and affix stickers showing calibration dates.
+ Collaborate with Quality Department representatives to identify and correct furnace issues.
+ Ensure all instruments requiring external calibration are serviced by outside sources.
+ Review material certifications for approval by the Quality Department prior to use.
Essential Skills
+ Sound understanding of combustion theory.
+ Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers and electro-mechanical controls.
+ Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word).
+ Understanding of company procedures and work instructions.
+ Experience in performing duties in accordance with Spec. AMS2750 Pyrometry latest revision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with maintenance and repair in a heavy industrial setting.
+ Ability to work directly with Quality Department and management.

Work Environment
The role involves working in a machine shop exposed to various forging machines. It is a heavy industrial, loud, and dirty environment, both indoors and outdoors. The areas are hot, as metals are being hammered and forged, resulting in bright orange products coming out of the ovens.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.75 - $31.75/hr.
