Job Title: Automation Controls Specialist
Job Description
The Automation Controls Specialist plays a crucial role in planning installations, minimizing waste, and ensuring access for future maintenance. This position requires adherence to specifications and local electrical codes. Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing electrical conduit, as well as pulling wiring through conduit and labeling it. The specialist must ensure that concealed wiring is installed before completing future walls, ceilings, and flooring. Additionally, they will locate, mount, and terminate various end devices, assist with job commissioning and start-up procedures, and provide owner training if necessary.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare sketches showing as-built location of wiring and equipment.
+ Attend project meetings as necessary.
+ Work overtime, varied shift hours, and travel occasionally as needed.
+ Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings effectively.
+ Communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and crew members.
+ Work independently and as a team member.
+ Coordinate work with other trades on the job site.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with building automation systems and controls.
+ Possession of a CT E2 or L6 License.
+ High school diploma, certificate from a college or technical school, and 2-5 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
+ Valid driver's license and an appropriate occupational license (if applicable).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to apply concepts of fractions, ratios, percentages, and proportions to practical situations.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, kneel, twist, stand, and climb stairs.
+ Service work in the Waterford area.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
