SUMMARY OF JOB
As a Senior Power BI Developer within our health system, the incumbent plays a pivotal role in transforming clinical, operational, and financial data into actionable insights. The position collaborates with clinical departments, IT teams, and executive leadership to design and deliver intuitive dashboards that support patient care, quality improvement, and strategic decision-making.
This role is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of Business Intelligence best practices and solutions. The incumbent will assist in developing the BI strategy within the organization, and collaborate with IT personnel. The position also will collaborate with C level management on various projects throughout the organization.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
+ Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field
+ Experience: 3 – 5 years working with RDBMS (MySql, MS SQL Server, etc.), developing a BI tool such as PowerBI, QlikView, etc. including proven familiarity with Business Intelligence technology, and current in the BI market, ETL experience and programming experience (M, DAX, VBA, SQL), and experience with cloud-based data sources
+ Expertise in Microsoft Excel (PowerQuery, PowerPivot, etc.) and proficiency in query / software optimization techniques
+ Proven experience gathering business and technical requirements, modeling, verifying and Business Intelligence methodology
+ Prior experience working with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.) and healthcare databases a plus
+ 2 years of experience within a healthcare environment preferred
+ Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards
+ Ability to build visualized data the business can easily understand and take action on
+ Ability to develop and draw out key findings
+ Ability to work, communicate with, and deliver to senior management
+ Ability to manage multiple projects, while maintaining monthly data requests, plan and prioritize workloads
+ Ability to take initiate and complete projects with minimal supervision
+ Ability to showcase and display previous work within the BI platform, and demonstrate complete understanding of the field
+ Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
