    Position Summary:

    The Online Sportsbook Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of our Sportsbook business. This role will oversee operational performance, drive key initiatives, and ensure alignment with broader company goals. The ideal candidate will bring a data-driven mindset to monitor internal and external KPIs, assess competitive trends, support regulatory compliance, optimize promotional strategies, and more.

     

    As a key stakeholder in the continued growth of our digital gaming platforms, this individual will own the success of the Sportsbook vertical - ensuring operational excellence, innovation, and best-in-class customer experience.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

    + Serve as the primary owner of the Sportsbook vertical, accountable for overall business performance, strategic direction, and growth

    + Collaborate with Marketing to define the overarching promotional strategy to execute across all sports, ensuring alignment with national reinvestment plans and broader company objectives

    + Oversee daily operational performance, ensuring accountability and driving continuous optimization across the Sportsbook offering

    + Collaborate with internal and external trading and risk teams to ensure effective pricing, margin management, and exposure control across all markets to enhance profitability

    + Lead the prioritization of on-site content, including promotions, betting markets, and campaigns, to maximize user engagement and conversion

    + Identify opportunities for incremental investment and performance improvement. Monitor competitive activity to inform strategic decisions

    + Partner with the Product team to identify and prioritize enhancements, feature development, and other product-related initiatives that improve the Sportsbook experience and drive business impact

    + Act as the primary point of contact for sportsbook vendors and suppliers, ensuring strong partnerships and communication, seamless integration, and alignment with operational goals

    + Champion initiatives that enhance the end-to-end customer journey, including bet placement, promotions, and support, with a focus on retention and satisfaction

    + Collaborate with internal teams to support planning and execution of major sportsbook events and seasonal milestones

    + Partner with internal and external analytics teams to deliver performance recaps and insights. Use data to inform investment strategies in collaboration with the Marketing team

    + Deliver regular business performance reports and strategic insights to senior leadership, highlighting trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement

    + Work closely with stakeholders across Operations, VIP, Marketing, and other teams to ensure seamless execution and strategic alignment

    + Ensure all sportsbook operations adhere to applicable regulatory requirements across jurisdictions

    + Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to maintain operational integrity

    + Act as a point of escalation for operational queries by internal team members, providing guidance and support as needed

    Minimum Education and Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field

    + 3 + years of experience in Sportsbook Operations or a comparable role within the iGaming or digital entertainment industry

    + 1 year of experience in sportsbook trading, risk management, or related functions

    + Strong strategic and analytical mindset with a deep understanding of sportsbook dynamics, customer behavior, and market trends

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus

    + Customer-centric approach with a clear understanding of the expectations and behaviors of high-value sportsbook users

    + Demonstrated success in previous roles, with the ability to thrive under pressure and deliver results in a performance-oriented setting

    + Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams

    + Exceptional attention to detail and proven problem-solving capabilities in fast-paced, data-driven environments

    + High level of integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic

    + Passion for delivering a market-leading sportsbook and iGaming experience

    + In lieu of a degree and the previously listed experience, a minimum of 7 years in Sportsbook Operations or a comparable role within the iGaming or digital entertainment industry may be considered

    Training Requirements:

    + Certifications as required by Mohegan

    + Mohegan Corporate and departmental policies and procedures

    + Appropriate regulations that pertain to Mohegan Information Systems

    + Mohegan budget planning and analysis process and procedures

    + Understanding of Time and Attendance and Database Management systems

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    + Office work environment

    + Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time

    + Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours

    + Must be able to travel; six or more trips per year required
