We are currently seeking a Systems Admin Specialist Advisor to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
Field Certification Lead Systems Programming Analyst
Position Overview
The Field Certification Lead Systems Programming Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity, reliability, and operational readiness of technology solutions prior to deployment in Local Operating Environments (LOE), Data Centers, and airline applications. This role focuses on mitigating production risks, reducing deployment failures, and enhancing system stability through rigorous pre-release validation.
Key Responsibilities
Field Certification Management
Maintain 24/7 readiness of physical and virtual testing environments at Mahwah.
Ensure automated testing tools remain fully operational.
Manage Field Certification (FC) request intake via TEAMS forms and track progress using FC Scheduling tools. Coordinate with Application Development teams to validate test scripts and ensure BigFix packages are submitted to the FC GSDP Portal.
Validate environment specifications and functional procedures prior to scheduling.
Testing Execution and Oversight
Assign testers based on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and project timelines.
Monitor testing progress, resolve issues, and ensure timely certification.
Communicate daily test results through Field Certification Memos and status reports. Maintain certification records and update SMC testing requests for weekly reporting.
Team and Lab Management
Approve weekly timecards and manage onboarding/offboarding processes.
Mentor team members, support career development, and ensure training compliance.
Maintain inventory and replace end-of-life hardware in the Mahwah Test Lab. Approve personal time-off requests for team members.
Reporting and Communication
Submit weekly status updates to management by 4 PM each Wednesday.
Provide ad hoc reports detailing certification volumes, testing outcomes, and operational metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Expertise
Proficiency in Windows 10 & 11, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025.
Working knowledge of Local Area Networks.
Familiarity with automated testing tools. Experience with VMware ESXi (preferred).
Reliable internet connectivity for remote access.
Education and Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Certified Quality Assurance Tester (preferred).
Professional Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Effective project and time management skills. High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to collaborate within a team environment.
Customer-focused mindset with leadership capabilities.
Work Environment
Hybrid schedule: 40-hour workweek (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) within Eastern Time Zone (7:00 AM 6:00 PM).
