Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking an Inpatient Rehabilitation Program Director who is responsible for directing, planning and organizing the Rehabilitation Program for all campuses of Methodist Healthcare System to comply with CMS, The Joint Commission, Texas Department of Health and Human Services, and CARF (if applicable) regulatory standards. Integrates all aspects of program development including, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Admissions, Nursing, Social Work, and Case Management. Oversees and contributes to the PPS billing and IRF-PAI process; maintains efficient and effective operation of the program by ensuring the coordination of services and management of budget and marketing functions.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Directs and develops clinical and ancillary services within the Methodist Healthcare System Inpatient Rehabilitation service line. Promotes a trans-disciplinary coordination of services within OT, PT, Speech Nursing, Case Management and support services.

2. Monitors and achieves financial objectives and is accountable for the daily operations of the departments to include, staffing, supervision, financial outcome management, physician relations, patient and employee satisfactions and employee functions.

3. Participates in the development and monitoring of performance improvement activities including the evaluation of the metrics, dashboard, and CQI outcomes and utilizes the data to improve program and operational outcomes.

4. Observes the conditions of participation, requirements or regulatory standards of the following: Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, The Joint Commission, Texas Health and Human Services, and other regulatory agencies.

5. Directly supervises the Therapy Director (s), and provides oversight to all departments, to include nursing and therapy services. Assures accountability and adherence to hospital policies.

6. Participates in the development and implementation of the marketing plan.

What qualifications you will need:

+ B.S. Degree in rehabilitation related field or health-related management.

+ Three years of experience in rehabilitation or acute care setting, preferably in a leadership role.

Years of experience may substitute for some of the educational requirements.

Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).

**Preferred** :

+ Minimum of five years clinical Rehab experience and/or three years of management experience.

**Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required** :

+ None

**Preferred** :

+ Current licensure or eligibility in Texas for LPT, OTR, SLP, or RN.
