    Key Responsibilities:

    Instruction

     

    + Teach assigned ASL courses in accordance with college policies and curriculum standards

    + Develop and maintain inclusive teaching practices

    + Establish and maintain a record of teaching excellence

    + Assist in the development and revision of ASL curriculum

     

    Institutional Engagement

     

    + Build familiarity with college systems, resources, and initiatives

    + Participate in service activities that support student and institutional success

    + Engage in departmental planning and assessment

     

    Professional Development

     

    + Collaborate with supervisors to align professional growth with student achievement

    + Stay current in ASL education and effective teaching methodologies

    + Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

    What We’re Looking For:

    + Bachelor’s degree in discipline or related field from a regionally accredited institution (or bachelor’s degree with interpreting license)

    + Master’s degree or commitment to pursuing a master’s degree preferred

    + Experience teaching ASL (three years preferred)

    + Ability to enact a variety of teaching methodologies including lectures, group activities, individual instruction, distance learning, and technology-enhanced instruction

    + Experience using instructional technology and Learning Management Systems preferred

    + Proficiency in internet, email, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software

    + Commitment to a broad range of students at a community college and student success

    Additional Instructions For Applicants:

    Most positions at CWI are in-person and based on campus. While some roles may allow up to two remote workdays per week, eligibility for remote work is determined on a case-by-case basis at the hiring manager's discretion. All candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
