Our client, a **fast-growing, family-owned manufacturer of engineered equipment** , is seeking a **Mechanical Design Drafter** to join their expanding engineering department. This is a new role created to support the company’s rapid growth — moving from ~$30M to $40–50M in annual revenue, with plans to hit $60M and beyond. The business is investing heavily in engineering infrastructure, new facilities, and design talent to take the company to the next level.

This is a great opportunity for a drafter with 1–2 years of experience to **step into a brand-new department, learn directly from industry experts, and grow with a team that promotes from within.**

**Job Title:** Mechanical Design Drafter

**Location:** Santa Fe, TX

**Pay Range:** $55K–$75K+ (flexible depending on experience) + bonus

What’s the Job?

+ Create and update 2D and 3D engineering drawings (heavy focus on 2D initially)

+ Revise and maintain drawings within an ERP system for shop floor use

+ Work closely with engineers on **custom designs, R&D, and product improvements**

+ Participate in design reviews, NCRs/ECRs, and support quality processes

+ Collaborate with production — walking the floor, identifying issues, and updating designs in real time

+ Modernize drawing formats, ensure accuracy, and support audits and customer-facing documentation

What’s Needed?

+ 1–2 years of drafting/design experience (mechanical focus preferred)

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (DraftSight a plus)

+ Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks independently

+ _Familiarity with pumps, valves, rotating equipment, or similar industries is a plus_
