Production Night Supervisors oversee the manufacturing, assembly, and shipment of C.H.I. products while leading a cross-functional team of team members, team leaders, group leaders, quality, engineering, production planning, and continuous improvement. Working collaboratively with the other Night Shift Supervisor and Day Shift Supervisors, this role guides internal and external customer requirements and is responsible for meeting or exceeding KPIs in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. The Production Night Supervisor coordinates teammate development, workflow, and operational capabilities.
+ Manages all daily activities within the manufacturing facility
+ Plans and manage all quality, environmental health and safety compliance and regulatory aspects
+ Key stakeholder of continuous improvement activities (Lean, TVM, Six Sigma)
+ Drives development of facilities processes and future capabilities
+ Develops and executes systems and processes that meet or exceed goals for safety, quality, delivery, cost, production and material control
+ Works with the team to set goals. Monitors performance and develops all team members. Evaluates teammate performance and establishes development and improvement plans
+ Supports efforts to implement succession planning for targeted key functional positions
+ Provides resources to support facility and customer needs
+ Prepares and reports regularly in communication meetings
Additional Functions:
+ Oversees work schedules, shift start and end times, and assignments.
+ Hires, promotes, or transfers teammates within assigned lines or makes recommendations regarding these actions.
+ Takes disciplinary action, including documenting performance, conducting verbal and written warnings, developing performance improvement plans or makes recommendations regarding these actions.
+ Coaches and mentors teammates in their daily duties and responsibilities.
+ Uses independent judgment in fulfilling supervisory responsibilities.
Compensation Data
Starting Base Salary Range: $85,000-$105,000
Production Bonus
Weekly Base Salary + Weekly Production Bonus (Example: Currently, Weekly Production Bonus has been averaging at a multiplier of 1.60 of Weekly Base Salary)
Profit-Sharing
10% of Nucors pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus

Minimum Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in high volume, high mix manufacturing
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft office Products including; excel, Dynamics, Power BI, and developing and tracking KPIs
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage in a fast pace environment with cross functional teams
+ Bachelors degree with a discipline in Management or Engineering.
+ General understanding of finance, cost and accounting principles
+ Proven experience driving employee engagement
+ Familiarity with engineering systems
+ Experience working in Engineering, Quality or Materials Management
+ Must be knowledgeable of general engineering and manufacturing processes
