This position is eligible for annual incentive pay and has the opportunity for continued salary growth. Primary Role The *BPM Analyst/Administrator* plays a pivotal role for the American Water 2030 (AW2030) program in defining the approach for how the business process modeling (BPM) tool will be utilized across the program. The approach will define the standards for the BPM and tailor specifics to AW as needed. The BPM analyst will support the business process documentation on behalf of the value streams to ensure that there is consistency in the models. They will also support and maintain the business process models. Key requirements include: * Proven experience with BPM tools such as Signavio or similar platforms. * Strong understanding of business process modeling standards and practices. * Ability to tailor BPM approaches for specific organizational needs. * Experience supporting cross-functional teams and value streams. * Familiarity with Agile methodologies and solution confirmation processes. Key Accountabilities * Define the design and approach for BPM tool usage during Solution Confirmation, ensuring alignment with program goals. * Establish and maintain BPM standards tailored to AW2030 program needs. * Support consistent documentation of business processes across value streams, ensuring clarity and alignment. * Maintain and update business process models to reflect evolving requirements and ensure readiness for stage gate reviews. * Act as liaison between value stream process analysts, subject matter experts, and technical teams. * Provide technical support for BPM tools, including user access management, filter/template maintenance, and repository publishing * Strategic Programs Information* * This role for the AW2030 Program will be full time, and you will be committed to this program for a minimum of one year. We are invested in your development and supporting your career with American Water. * The career band/level designated for this role has been intentionally designed with flexibility. Candidates whose combination of experience and/or qualifications that are not a match to the designated level may be considered, provided they meet the qualifications and expectations of the role. In unique or exceptional cases, deviations beyond this two-level range may be evaluated individually. Knowledge/Skills * Deep understanding of BPM methodologies and tools. * Familiarity with enterprise transformation programs and solution design cycles. * Knowledge of process governance, modeling conventions, and quality assurance practices. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and facilitation abilities. * Proficiency in process modeling and documentation tools. Experience/Education * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field. * 3+ years of experience in BPM analysis or administration roles. * Experience working in large-scale transformation programs or PMO environments. * Exposure to Agile delivery frameworks and sprint planning cycles is a plus.
