Description
As Senior UX Designer, you will define how users interact with new AI products. You will have a significant impact on our business as you contribute to the strategy and design direction and how it integrates within the entire product portfolio, and deliver a seamless experience for users. Success in this role spans multiple dimensions, primarily focusing on implementing agentic experiences that are adaptive, proactive, and trustworthy.
You will be part of a team that is transforming how enterprises plan and execute decisions, leveraging agentic AI and Amazon expertise. This enterprise-wide intelligent decision system will serve as the SaaS layer within AWS Applied AI Solutions to deliver capabilities that transform how enterprises coordinate decisions across enterprise functions.
Key job responsibilities
• Drive momentum in creating new AI products.
• Identify and solve systemic design problems, balance short-term needs with long-term vision, and influence product and engineering decisions.
• Make quick, informed decisions that keep projects moving, lead rapid prototyping cycles, and maintain quality standards.
• Solve technical challenges effectively and transform complex AI capabilities into intuitive experiences.
• Balance technical constraints with user needs, finding practical solutions that scale.
• Convert ambiguous problems into clear direction, helping your team navigate uncertainty while maintaining alignment.
• Create new products from scratch, define design standards, and maintain high-quality output.
• Challenge assumptions when needed, build trust through transparent communication about trade-offs, and influence cross-functional partners through clear reasoning.
• Work autonomously to drive projects with minimal guidance.
• Share knowledge effectively, mentor other designers, lead org-level reviews, and build strong partnerships across functions.

Each day requires balancing immediate needs, technical constraints, and long-term vision. You're not just designing interfaces - you're setting standards for human-AI interaction at AWS. You will work collaboratively with your design team, alongside engineers and product managers, building enterprise AI applications.

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
- Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
- Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma or similar
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature
- Experience designing in an agile development environment
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows for enterprise applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
