    What´s the role?

     

    The Senior Manager – HFC/FTTH Installations is responsible for leading all residential and commercial installation activities across Liberty Puerto Rico. This role ensures delivery of high-quality, efficient, and technically sound installations that meet Liberty’s standards and customer expectations. With minimal supervision, the Senior Manager oversees all contractor operations, driving performance in safety, technical execution, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Serving as a key point of contact for both internal teams and customers, the role also acts as a Customer Advocate, ensuring seamless installation experience and promoting continuous improvement across processes and service delivery.

     

    How can you add value?

     

    + Provides leadership and direction to Installation departments to ensure compliance with FCC, state and federal laws while maintaining budgetary requirements.

    + Responsible for fostering relationships with contractors and assigning work to contractors to ensure sufficient manpower while meeting contract labor budget.

    + Performs job coordination and planning functions such as reviewing schedules to identify job intervals, addressing material issues, evaluating skill requirements, assessing resource requirements versus availability, approving quality plans (MOPs), assisting with site surveys, coordinating job/customer visits, working with customers, etc.

    + Implements and continually refine systems and workforce management processes to ensure high quality of installation service delivery. Analyzes technical operations, general business, and administrative performance to achieve highest customer experience, system effectiveness, and profitability.

    + Ensure all installations' orders are properly assigned, routed, and closed out.

    + Demonstrates and ensures compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America's policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.

    + Ensure alignment of installation activities with strategic business goals and customer demand.

    + Develop and manage detailed project plans including timelines, resources, and budget estimates.

    + Provide direction, mentoring, and performance evaluation to ensure high team productivity.

    + Ensure teams follow health and safety standards and comply with internal and regulatory requirements.

    + Monitor installation quality and ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ITU, IEEE, etc.).

    + Resolve technical challenges and escalate complex issues to engineering teams if necessary.

    + Manage third-party vendors and contractors, ensuring they meet SLAs, deadlines, and quality benchmarks.

    + Monitors contractor compliance with the terms and conditions of contracts concerning installations and service agreements executed within are of operation.

    + Conduct site audits and performance reviews of subcontractors.

    + Manage budgets for HFC/FTTH install projects, track expenditures, and ensure cost-efficiency.

    + Forecast and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment.

    + Report regularly to senior leadership on progress, risks, and key metrics (KPIs).

    + Communicate effectively with internal teams (network, operations, customer service) and external partners.

    + Responsible for contract negotiations.

    + Ensure timely and quality installation of services to meet customer expectations.

    + Resolve escalated customer complaints related to installations and service quality.

    + Ensure all installations comply with local regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.

    + Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, customer feedback, and field inspections.

    + Identify training needs and develop programs for field installers.

    + Keep teams updated with new technologies and deployment techniques.

    + Other functions may be assigned.

     

    What do you need?

    Education and/or Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science or Technical Field, or Business Administration.

     

    Minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in Installation Services or equivalent field construction in Telecom industry.

     

    5+ years of experience in supervisory or manager position.

    Other Qualifications:

    + Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English).

    + Demonstrated abilities to lead field crews and deal with customers in Installation, Electrical, and Construction, Cable, or similar industries.

    + Knowledge of dispatch operations including Work Assure, OMSE, ICOMS

    + Ability to prioritize and coordinate efficiently.

    + Ability to work in a dynamic environment required.

    + Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.

    + Ability to relate well both with general public and with employees at all levels

    + Computer-literate, knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, PP, Outlook)

    + Valid driver’s license.

    + Willingness to travel.
