    Job Title: Space PlannerJob Description

     

    This role involves planning and designing employee work areas for capital or operations and maintenance projects, utilizing space planning design with AutoCAD. The position requires developing, updating, and applying interior finish standards and guidelines, collaborating with various departments to establish programmatic requirements. The Space Planner will oversee the construction, development, and installation of systems furniture, ensuring compliance with timing, cost, and contract requirements. Safety compliance and ethical business conduct are integral to this role.

    Responsibilities

    + Plan layout and design employee work areas for capital or O&M projects.

    + Incorporate space planning design using AutoCAD.

    + Develop, update, and apply interior finish standards and guidelines.

    + Collaborate with company departments to develop programmatic requirements.

    + Establish schedules and priorities for shared work with the IT Department.

    + Oversee and coordinate construction, development, and installation of systems furniture.

    + Monitor furniture-construction progress to ensure timing, cost, and contract requirements are met.

    + Review design changes, furniture and finish specifications, and substitution requests.

    + Develop feasibility studies and cost analyses.

    + Uphold safety compliance standards and promote a culture of total safety.

    + Ensure all duties are performed in accordance with applicable regulatory compliance obligations.

    + Coordinate and work with staff, architects, contractors, and vendors on selected projects.

    + Prepare cost estimates, feasibility, and other studies.

    + Manage the yearly furniture budget including all furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

    + Produce drawings, plans, schedules, and other documents to support interior relocations.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD.

    + Experience in interior design and space planning.

    + 2 years of experience designing in AutoCAD.

    + 2 years of experience in space planning and design for corporate environments.

    + Ability to travel throughout the greater Puget Sound region.

    + Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in coordinating with staff, architects, contractors, and vendors.

    + Capability to prepare cost estimates and feasibility studies.

    + Ability to manage budgets and produce necessary documentation.

    Work Environment

    This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8am-5pm. The role requires travel between site locations for various projects, with 50% of time expected in the office and some flexibility. Travel outside of the home base will be reimbursed for mileage.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, Washington.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.86/hr.
