Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Sr Formulation Technician for our medical supply and instrumentation partner in Middletown, VA.
The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $20 hourly. This is second shift 3:00 pm- 11:30 pm.

The Middletown site manufactures in vitro diagnostic reagents, controls and calibrators, which are used in conjunction with clinical diagnostic instrumentation.
Position Summary: Senior Formulation role
Manufactures buffers and simple bulk reagents per manufacturing procedures with limited supervision. Participates in process improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for reviewing all area documents.
• Responsible for the WNS.
• Assist in manufacture of controls and calibrators and complete batch records following cGMPs.
• Perform in-process assays using equipment such as spectrophotometers, pH meters and clinical analyzers.
• Weighing, transfer, mixing of chemicals required.
• Perform product filtrations.
• Clean and steam steel tanks (CIP) / (SIP).
• Prepare glassware and steel tanks for sterilization in autoclave and operate autoclave.
• Maintain lab equipment including pumps, pH meters, and flow meters.
• Keep department lead or manager updated on all issues.
• Monitor stocks of common lab supplies.
• Performs other job duties as required.
• Responds to Emergency notifications.
• Flexible hours and on weekends.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent. AA degree preferred with at least 2 years of lab experience.
• Basic lab skills and knowledge of safety precautions.
• Familiarity with Quality System Regulations.
• Experienced working with potentially hazardous chemicals and human source materials.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs routinely.
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Colleagues will operate, maintain & troubleshoot all production equipment associated within the department to prevent and/or correct mechanical breakdowns.
Responsible for setting up Work Centers in a timely and organized manner, tearing down the Work Center when the Work Order is complete
Troubleshoot machine issues
Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Works alone or with other technicians to perform filling, labeling and/or packaging of products
Align with GMP, ISO 13485 guidelines and company SOPs
Responsible for following proper GDP practices.
Ability to take apart machines and equipment.
Efficiently and safely operate machinery and check for simple maintenance as needed and make adjustments when vital.
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
• Must be in compliance with GMP, QSRs, ISO and IVD regulations in the performance of department responsibilities.
• Ability to read and write English and understand instructions written or orally in English.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Proven track record to follow policies and procedures, instructions, and to meet project timelines consistently and independently.
Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, plan, and forecast multiple projects at one time
Ability to work in a team environment and influence others to achieve results.
Self-motivated with bias for action.
Outstanding follow up and organizational skills.
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Experience
Minimum of one years of experience in manufacturing.
**Pay Details:** $20.00 per hour
