    Job Title: Structural Engineer

    Job Description

    As a Structural Engineer, you will perform calculations for cold-formed steel, steel, and wood building components. You will prepare plans and details showing design intent and ensure that all work complies with building codes. Your role involves coordinating plans and details with documents provided by other trades and attending design meetings with architects, engineers, general contractors, and sub-contractors. You will develop a close working relationship with project engineers, project managers, estimators, and the BIM team, and collaborate with the fabrication/manufacturing team, specifically focusing on cold-formed steel design processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform calculations for cold-formed steel, steel, and wood building components.

    + Prepare plans and details showing design intent.

    + Ensure work is done in accordance with building codes.

    + Coordinate plans and details with documents provided by other trades.

    + Attend design meetings with architects, engineers, general contractors, and sub-contractors.

    + Develop a close working relationship with project engineers, project managers, estimators, and the BIM team.

    + Collaborate with the fabrication/manufacturing team, specifically with cold-formed steel design processes.

    Work Environment

    You will be working in an office environment within a newly established structural team. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a direct mentor and potentially enjoy a flexible schedule. The role may initially require remote work, with the possibility of a flexible schedule once return-to-office plans are in place. This position offers long-term growth opportunities within a newer department, backed by a strong, long-standing company. You will work directly with owners, builders, contractors, and consultants.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
