    Description

    The Control Systems Engineer position will develop new electro-mechanical motion control devices with sub-micron precision. This role will require the ability to architect and provide “turn-key” solutions to our customers. This position will provide guidance and technical support to customers, gather requirements, assess feasibility, and provide holistic system design input to the design team. Pre-sale support will be an essential part of this job, which will require this position to lead technical discussion in the conception phase of development. This position will be responsible for defining a motion system that meets customer expectations and design requirements. Successful candidates must be able to determine motors, drives, and controllers that will meet specifications, specify and design associated cables and circuitry to support system development, tune, optimize and validate systems to meet movement profiles on linear and rotary systems across a range of sizes and performance specifications.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    5+ years’ experience applied to mechatronics systems.

     

    5+ years’ experience with motion system design as it relates to electro-mechanical assemblies.

     

    5+ years’ experience with linear or rotary electro-mechanical actuator.

     

    Experience working with customers and partners to gather system level requirements.

     

    Experience with design, development, and testing of electrical systems involving motors and circuit boards.

     

    Experience with signal processing, Fourier analysis, Bode Plots, and controls theory.

     

    3D CAD experience is preferred.

     

    Python, C++, C, or C# experience.

     

    Expertise with Matlab, Scilab, or other system modeling software.

     

    Expertise with one of the following controller brands: Beckhoff, Allen Bradley, ACS, Bosch, Delta Tau.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
