Job Title: Structural EngineerJob Description

The candidate will oversee the creation of 3D models and detail drawings using Solidworks, CATIA, or CREO, based on customer-provided designs. Typical products include steel platforms, stairs, towers, foundations, skids, tanks, and drag chains in the Telecommunications, Transportation, Wastewater, and Oil & Gas industries. The ideal candidate will have at least 6+ years of experience as a professional structural engineer. A Texas PE License is a plus. The candidate must be familiar with ANSI, EIA/TIA, and AASHTO standards.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee the creation of 3D models and detail drawings.

+ Coordinate with clients, consultants, project teams, engineering departments, vendors, and subcontractors.

+ Develop and monitor detailed project scopes and schedules to ensure timely delivery.

+ Prepare basic engineering requirements and foundational design data.

+ Oversee the scheduling of engineering activities, including issuing drawings, specifications, and purchase orders.

+ Ensure timely receipt of information from clients and process licensors.

+ Manage a design team of four, ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.

Essential Skills

+ 6+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer.

+ Experience with RISA 3D, Solidworks, CATIA, or CREO.

+ Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.

+ Familiarity with ANSI, EIA/TIA, and AASHTO standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ PE License (any state) is preferred.

+ Advanced knowledge of engineering technologies, codes, and standards.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams.

+ In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle.

Work Environment

The candidate will be working in an office environment, primarily managing a team of four engineers. All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided. The client offers a flexible schedule, with core hours from 9 am to 3 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
