    Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Level-3 Hardware Production Quality Engineer to join our Rotary Mission Systems business unit. This role is based in Oldsmar, FL, and involves working closely with Material Program Managers and Production Quality Program Managers to ensure product quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong in quality assurance responsibilities, quick adaptability to diverse product lines, and the ability to manage program risks and delivery schedules effectively.

    Responsibilities

    + Identify root causes and corrective actions to evaluate process and product performance.

    + Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

    + Evaluate and disposition production nonconforming hardware, analyzing defect data for systemic issues and trends.

    + Implement lessons learned and utilize new technologies to enhance quality operations.

    + Provide inputs on product QA tasking for accurate labor estimates on ECPs and proposals.

    + Participate in hardware change control boards as needed.

    + Verify system compliance to requirements and present systems for customer acceptance.

    + Support and execute strategies related to advanced manufacturing techniques, including Additive Manufacturing, Rapid Prototyping, and Lean Manufacturing.

    Essential Skills

    + Excellent communication skills.

    + Knowledge of AS9100 standards.

    + Proven audit experience.

    + Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    + Familiarity with hardware engineering requirements, design, system integration, and test processes.

    + Understanding of manufacturing and hardware engineering processes.

    + Experience with Statistical Process Control in a production environment.

    + U.S. citizenship due to program support requirements.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + 2 years of relevant experience with a related 4-year degree.

    + Experience with DoD contracts.

    + Lean/Six Sigma black or green belt certification.

    + Knowledge of IPC 610/620 and J-STD-001 standards.

    + Experience interfacing with Government Customer Representatives.

    + Implementation experience with advanced manufacturing techniques such as additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping.

    + Experience with predictive quality implementation.

    + Surface-mount Technology (SMT) experience.

    This is a Contract position based out of Oldsmar, Florida.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $55.00/hr.
