    Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

    Job Description

    This position will focus on repair, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance of various production and laboratory instruments, machines, and equipment in a drug and medical device manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform repair and corrective maintenance on production and laboratory instruments and equipment.

    + Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of machinery.

    + Diagnose and perform electrical repairs, including AC (single and three phase) and DC (4 – 20 mA, 24 VDC).

    + Assist in troubleshooting PLC problems and interpreting ladder logic.

    + Utilize multimeters, test probes, micrometers, and dial indicators for testing purposes.

    + Read and understand P&IDs, isometrics, sketches, and handwritten instructions.

    + Maintain organized records of daily maintenance activities.

    + Familiarize with air over pressure and gravity feed autoclaves, steam generators, depyrogenation ovens, and refrigerated storage areas.

    + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components of HVAC systems.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

    + Experience in calibration and maintenance of production equipment.

    + Ability to work independently in a cGMP environment.

    + Good communication and writing skills.

    + Experience in reading and interpreting technical documents and instructions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Minimum of 4-5+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or equivalent.

    + Pharmaceutical or medical device experience in a GMP environment.

    + Refrigerant license for HVAC systems is preferred but not required.

    + PC literacy for maintenance software and Microsoft products.

    + Associate or Technical Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing setting, adhering to GMP standards. The environment supports both first and second shifts, with potential for overtime on weekends.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
