Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Manager
Shift- Will be working 1st shift , be flexible from 6am-4pm Monday-Friday.
Job Description
The Shipping and Receiving Manager oversees all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring accurate documentation, timely deliveries, and efficient inventory control. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and hands-on experience with warehouse operations, including forklift operation, inventory systems, and compliance with safety protocols.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate and supervise the preparation and dispatch of finished goods.
+ Ensure accurate shipment documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs).
+ Communicate with internal teams to resolve product availability issues.
+ Maintain shipping container tracking and ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures are followed.
+ Inspect incoming materials for damage or shortages and document discrepancies.
+ Oversee proper storage and labeling of received goods.
+ Ensure accurate entry of received materials into inventory systems (e.g., AX or SAP).
+ Notify Quality Control of any damaged or suspect materials.
+ Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions.
+ Conduct monthly inventory audits and ensure part flow accuracy.
+ Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies.
+ Train and supervise warehouse staff in shipping and receiving procedures.
+ Schedule and manage workloads to meet operational goals.
+ Enforce company policies and monitor attendance and performance.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred.
+ 4–8 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse management.
+ Proficiency in inventory software (e.g., AX, SAP) and Microsoft Office.
+ Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Forklift and pallet jack certification preferred.

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled weld shop with excellent ventilation, though occasional work with galvanized steel may create a haze. The facility is organized into cell groups, each consisting of four weld cells, allowing welders to have their own space while working alongside others. The outdoor yard is used for storing steel and metal, so comfort with both indoor and outdoor work is necessary. The dress code includes jeans, steel toes, and a work shirt, with safety glasses provided as PPE. The team size is about 40 welders in the entire facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
