Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a Machine Operator to manufacture high-quality ink using an Ink Mill. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
+ Run batches of ink at proper mill settings.
+ Package finished product in various containers and apply labels.
+ Clean and maintain machines to ensure optimal performance.
+ Operate the Hockmeyer mill, maintaining optimum overall equipment effectiveness standards.
+ Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas, including processing times.
+ Perform canning operations.
+ Operate press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift.
+ Act as a QC liaison, providing ink samples, making adjustments, and recording data.
+ Complete scheduled maintenance and utilize troubleshooting procedures.
+ Assist with repacks.
Essential Skills
+ 1-2 years of previous machine operating experience, preferably in batch mixing for a chemical liquid.
+ Experience with production, machine operation, and batch mixing.
+ Ability to read work orders and tickets in English.
+ Forklift operation skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience operating an Ink Mill is preferred.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, well-lit production floor that is not climate controlled, leading to warmer conditions in the summer. The environment has a strong smell of ink and can get dirty due to liquid ink production.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chicago, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
