Job Title: QA Tech
Job Description
As a QA Tech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products. Your responsibilities will include sampling, weighing, grading, and recording product samples, as well as performing various tests to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Responsibilities
+ Sample, weigh, thaw, grade, and record samples of products using scales while recognizing and separating defects.
+ Taste products and have a working knowledge of pounds, ounces, kilograms, grams, linear measurements, and basic mathematics.
+ Track totes, understand resources and applications, record inventory, and understand USDA grade charts and buyer specifications.
+ Perform temperature and peroxidase testing, pesticide sampling, and 10 oz. sampling.
+ Operate shearpress machinery, run machines, and record tenderometer readings.
+ Conduct various tests on each load, including split checks, brine checks, and pea waste checks, and record the results.
+ Lift up to 25 pounds frequently and stand or walk for a maximum of three hours prior to each break period.
+ Climb ladders, stairs, or scaffolding and maintain balance on narrow or slippery surfaces.
+ Reach, handle, see color distinctions, judge depth perception, twist and turn, stoop, kneel, and perform fine motor skills.
+ Perceive attributes of objects and materials such as size, shape, or texture through touch.

Work Environment
The work environment includes concrete and metal platforms with varying heat, cold, and humidity levels. Moderate exposure to dust and fumes is expected, and hearing protection is required due to noise. The role requires moderate dexterity, working with people, and managing stress. Tasks involve moderate repetition and precision, with low to moderate boredom.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moses Lake, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.55 - $17.55/hr.
