Installation Technician Opening
Job Description
The Installation Technician will install and repair fabric or metal buildings. As a fabric or metal building installation technician, you will primarily be involved in all aspects of building erection. This position requires travel for 40 to 50 weeks per year. Most construction crews will be on the jobsite up to a week at a time but will be home most weekends. Work will be performed throughout Iowa, with some projects requiring overnight travel if more than two hours away. Accommodation and a daily meal per diem are provided for overnight travel. Crews meet at the shop in Clermont, IA, daily or weekly as required and travel to and from the jobsite via a company truck. Travel time from the shop to the jobsite is paid one way.
Responsibilities
+ Affix and position fabric or metal buildings in a designated location and complete the set-up process.
+ Ensure the building is installed safely and supports functionality for optimal performance.
+ Carry and handle materials without the use of a forklift.
+ Install columns, mainframes, girts, purlins, wall sheeting, and insulation.
+ Install gutters, downspouts, windows, and doors.
+ Maintain tools and equipment in safe working order.
+ Assist with inventory as needed.
+ Maintain and repair buildings.
+ Assemble and set up necessary machinery or equipment.
+ Use blueprints or diagrams for installation.
+ Perform minor concrete work, wood post and I-beam foundations, steel erection, and associated construction tasks.
+ Demonstrate willingness to learn new skills, work in a team environment, and take pride in your work.
+ Exhibit punctuality, good manners, communication skills, and maintain a well-groomed appearance.
+ Comply with federal, state, and company policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with hand and power tools.
+ General construction experience.
+ Ability and willingness to travel 40+ weeks out of the year.
+ Experience with finishing, framing, and using hand tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Possession of a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
+ Reliable transportation to meet at the jobsite, shop, or centralized meeting place.
+ Basic math, writing, and communication skills.
+ Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 100 lbs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
